The Audi Q4 e-tron from the MY24 (ie. model year 2024) will gain the motor that was first announced in the VW ID. Buzz and VW ID.7. It is a variant with 210 kW/286 hp of power and around 550 Nm of torque, designated by Volkswagen as APP550 (Audi uses its own nomenclature). Versions with more power will gain the designation Audi Q4 e-tron 45 and Audi Q4 e-tron 45 Sportback and will replace the existing e-tron 40. The e-tron 35 variant with a smaller battery disappears, all editions will have large 82 (77) kWh batteries.

2024 Audi Q4 e-tron and 2024 Q4 e-tron Sportback: more power, better range
We have already written about the new mottor fitted to cars on the MEB platform on a number of occasions, including the Skoda Enyaq 85 [without the ‘iV’ anymore] and the VW ID.4/ID.5, we gave its technical data in the introduction, and we also know that it is more energy-efficient and guarantees higher dynamics – so we will not repeat ourselves. Compared to the current APP310, the difference is considerable, so by the end of the year, expect sensational discounts on existing versions of the Audi Q4 e-tron.
But let’s come back down to earth: with the new APP550 motor, the most basic variant of the Audi Q4 e-tron will gain the designation 45. The model’s acceleration to 100 km/h will take 6.7 seconds instead of the previous more than 8 seconds. The designation is something to watch out for, as the earlier 2021-2023 Audi Q4 e-tron 45 denoted a variant with all-wheel drive and 195 kW/265 hp of power. It is now a single-motor, rear-wheel drive version.
The boot capacity of the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron is 520 litres, the WLTP range is 456-545 units depending on rim size.
Audi Q4 e-tron 55 Quattro and 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.4 seconds
The existing Audi Q4 e-tron 50 will be transformed into the Audi Q4 e-tron 55 (2024) or Sportback e-tron 55. The car will have two motors with a maximum output of 250 kW/340 hp instead of the previous 220 kW/299 hp. These will enable the C-segment electric crossover to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
The 55 (51) kWh battery is disappearing from the model range; all cars have an 82 (77) kWh battery pack that charges at peak with 135 kW for the rear-drive variants and 175 kW for the Quattro edition. In the latter case, this can mean power in excess of 185 kW, like the new VW ID.3 and VW ID.4/ID.5 GTX. Charging from 10 to 80 per cent under ideal conditions is expected to take 28 minutes, the on-board AC-DC charger has 11 kW of power and is three-phase.
In addition, the manufacturer boasts a re-tuned suspension, adjusted steering wheel action and updated driver support systems. A multimedia system screen and counters (Audi Virtual Cockpit) with a diagonal of 10.25 inches each are now part of the standard equipment. The Audi Q4 e-tron (2024) also comes standard with an electrically opening and closing boot lid and heated seats at the front (source).
The Audi Q4 e-tron is currently rolling out of the Zwickau plant (Germany), and is also expected to be produced at the factory in Brussels (Belgium) from the fourth quarter of 2023.
